With Volusia Speedway Park being hit with heavy rain this afternoon, in addition to the continuous rain throughout the week and weather models showing thunderstorms this evening, officials have canceled the Top Gun Classic, keeping the safety and best interests of drivers and fans in mind.
“The World’s Fastest Half Mile” now turns its attention to a massive Labor Day weekend special with the three-day Labor Day Classic, featuring 15 Features for the “Fab 5” divisions – 604 Late Models, 602 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, Factory Stocks, and 3/4 Modifieds.
Thursday’s event will be Features only, concluding the event that was postponed in June, and will be only $5 for fans to attend. Then, Friday and Saturday will feature full shows for the “Fab 5” divisions. For more information, click HERE.
