Due to previous rains on Friday night and a cell of precipitation affecting Volusia Speedway Park before racing commenced on Saturday, track officials made the decision to cancel Saturday’s Opening Night Special.
Through further evaluation of the track state and weather, officials determined that the continuous rains on Friday and Saturday impacted the track area, leading to the night’s cancelation.
Those who already purchased tickets, parking, and/or a pit band will be able to use them for another event at Volusia Speedway Park.
Next on the Volusia Speedway Park racing schedule is the first race of the Month of Money on Saturday, April 13. The night will feature the 604 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, 3/4 Modifieds, and the reintroduction of the Crown Vic’s to the facility. Pit Gates and Grandstand Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. EST, with Hot Laps beginning at 6:00 p.m. EST.
