With heavy rolling thunderstorms throughout Saturday, bringing strong winds and more rain projected in the evening, Volusia Speedway Park officials have canceled Saturday’s Clay Classic.
The “World’s Fastest Half Mile” now shifts its full attention to November for the Prelude to the Reutimann, featuring all the “Fab 5” divisions – 604 Late Models, 602 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, 3/4 Modifieds, and Factory Stocks on Saturday, Nov. 14.
While the newest UMP Modified champion will be crowned, the winner of the division’s Feature will earn a guaranteed position in the following Saturday’s Emil and Dale Reutimann Memorial 50-lap, $10,000-to-win Feature on Nov. 22.
