State-Wide Storms Force Officials To Cancel Opening Night

Keeping fans and teams in mind, Volusia Speedway Park officials have canceled tonight’s Season Opener due to a state-wide storm impacting the Central Florida area this afternoon, including heavy rain and high winds.

Track officials worked closely with Precision Weather Service, which indicated thunderstorms are forecasted to move northbound and through Volusia Speedway Park by Saturday afternoon.

All focus now moves towards the Month of Money on March 25, which will now serve as the Season Opener to 2023. The night will include 604 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, 3/4 Modifieds, Thunder Stocks, and the Pick Your Part Street Stocks. Grandstand gates will open at 4:00 p.m. (ET), with Hot Laps beginning at 6 p.m.
