BARBERVILLE, FL – With overnight rain continuing into today and weather models projecting a tropical rain storm to make landfall this weekend, Volusia Speedway Park officials have canceled Saturday’s Open Wheel Night, keeping the safety of fans and teams in mind.
The storm is projected to bring high winds and heavy rain to Volusia County. Please take the necessary precautions before the storm system lands.
Weekly racing at Volusia returns with the Summer Sizzler on Saturday, July 27. The night will feature Top Gun Sprints, 604 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, and Thunder Stocks. Gates will open at 4:00 p.m., with Hot Laps scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
