With Saturday’s storms carrying on throughout the night and into the early morning, dropping several more inches of rain on the already damp Volusia Speedway Park surface, track officials have canceled the Labor Day Classic finale.
The decision was made keeping the best interests of drivers and fans in mind, as multiple days of rain created unfavorable conditions for spectators around the facility and unsafe conditions for on-track action. Sunday’s program will not be made up.
If you purchased a ticket or pit pass for Saturday, it can be used for any “Fab 5” event in the 2025 season, or as credit toward the Battle in Barberville on Sept. 20. They will not be accepted for the Emil & Dale Reutimann Memorial.
With the weekend’s cancellation, the 604 Late Models have been added to the lineup at the “World’s Fastest Half Mile,” joining the Top Gun Sprint Cars in September for their final visit to the track this season. Joining the 360 Sprint Cars will be the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, 3/4 Modifieds, and Factory Stocks.
