THE DIVISIONS:
604 Late Models – The 604 Late Models have seen two different winners in the first two races of the season – Blake Clouser, of Lake Helen, FL and current division points leader Garret Stewart, of Fruitland Park, FL. Stewart is currently the only driver to have finished inside the top five in both events and holds a 31-point lead over Derike Bennett, of Jacksonville, FL. Jason Garver, of Starke, FL, is only three points further back, sitting third in points.
602 Late Models – While Jason Garver sits third in points with the 604 Late Models, the reigning 602 Late Model track champion is back atop the standings with the division. Garver won the season-opening championship race in March, while Austin Leamon, of Lithia, FL, one the latest 602 race in April.
Both are the only two drivers who have yet to finish outside the top five. Leamon sits five points behind Garver in the standings with Brandon Yates, of Mulberry, FL, behind him – 32 points behind Garver. The three drivers made up in the podium in the last event with Garver in second and Yates third.
DIRTcar UMP Modifieds – There’s been no one better than Jeff Scofield, of Plant City, FL, in the two points races for the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds. He scored the win in both, giving him a 25-point lead over reigning division champion Jason Garver.
Dillon Buhr, of Jacksonville, FL, will look to keep his name in the mix, currently sitting 32 points back after a second-place finish in the April race.
Factory Stocks – The most interesting points battle currently sits with the Factory Stocks as Willy “The Kid” Cuddy, of Christmas, FL, and Tanner Thomas, of Oviedo, FL, are tied for the points lead – both having finished in the top five in the first two races.
Dustin Turnage, of Vero Beach, FL, sits behind them, third in points, 12 points back. The two winners this year are further back with the recent winner, Mike Tovet, of Seville, FL, sitting fifth in points, 23 points behind the leaders, and the season-opening winner, Camden Harp, of Portal, GA, is currently ninth in points, having only run that first race.
3/4 Modifieds – While only two races in, the battle for the top spot with the 3/4 Modifieds remains tight as the top four in points are separated by less than 20 points.
Colton Lane, of Pierson, FL, won the most recent race in April and holds a 10-point lead over Ethyn Hwan, of DeLand, FL. Both are currently the only two drivers with top-five finishes in the first two races. Logan Malone, of Palm Coast, FL is third in points, 12 points back, and Jesse Powers, of Port Orange, FL, is 18 points back in fourth.
