Winter Event Favorites Return, Crown Vic\u2019s Join The Fray, And More Weekly Racing Points Events<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Volusia Speedway Park is shaping up for a 2024 season unlike any other, with new divisions, events, and continuing traditions the Barberville, FL track has held for 55 years.<\/p>\n

The World\u2019s Fastest Half Mile <\/i>will host 21 events at the track in 2024. Sixteen of those races will make up the weekly racing schedule from March to November \u2013 featuring 604 Late Models, 602 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, 3\/4 Modifieds, and Thunder Stocks making up the championship-chasing divisions.<\/p>\n

Fan-favorite special events \u2013 Sunshine Nationals, Germfree Southern Sprint Car Shootout, Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, and the World of Outlaws Bike Week Jamboree \u2013 will highlight the track\u2019s activities from January to March before the weekly racing season starts during the third weekend in March.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a look at 2024 schedule highlights:<\/i><\/p>\n

NEW ADDITIONS:<\/b><\/p>\n

Top Gun Returns – <\/b>Known as Florida\u2019s Premier 360 Sprint Car Series, the Top Gun Sprint Car Series returns to Volusia for six dates, beginning in April with the Month of Money finale. They will also headline other prominent events such as the Summer Sizzler on July 27 and the Halloween Spooktacular on Oct. 26.<\/p>\n

Last year, Dustin Burtron picked up his first career Volusia Speedway Park win at the Summer Sizzler, and Tyler Clem continued his reign of success with a win in August.<\/p>\n

The Series\u2019 2024 dates at Volusia are April 27, May 11, June 22, July 27, August 17, and October 26.<\/p>\n

More Weekly Points Races – <\/b>In 2024, there will be more weekly races for drivers to chase their division championships, with 16 total weekly races making up the championship chase. For the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, their season will end on Oct. 26, while the other weekly divisions end their season on Nov. 16.<\/p>\n

Crown Victorian Era Begins – <\/b>The 4.6-liter Crown Vic\u2019s return to the 2024 schedule, with the division racing on April 13, Oct. 26, and Nov. 22. Known for using old police cars in this division, these machines will be in hot pursuit of the checkered flag every lap they race in 2024.<\/p>\n

RETURNING FAVORITES:<\/b><\/p>\n

DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals (Jan. 17-20) <\/b>
\nVolusia Speedway Park\u2019s Late Model Palooza is back, Thursday-Saturday, Jan. 17-20. The premier Late Model event will feature Crate Racin\u2019 USA DIRTcar Pro Late Models, 602 Late Models, and the season kickoff for the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Models.<\/p>\n

The best Late Model drivers from around the country will gather in Barberville with a practice night on Wednesday, Jan. 17, and then three straight nights of Feature action, Thursday to Saturday, Jan. 18-20. Last year, Devin Moran scored back-to-back wins with the World of Outlaws, while Kyle Bronson, Jensen Ford and David Showers Jr. picked up wins in the other divisions.<\/p>\n

Germfree Southern Sprint Car Shootout (Jan. 25-27)<\/b>
\nThe Germfree Southern Sprint Car Shootout returns after a successful debut in 2023, bringing back the United Sprint Car Series for a marquee three-day event, Jan. 25-27. Sprint Car drivers from around the country \u2013 and beyond as drivers from Australia and England participated in the first event \u2013 will compete for a more than $65,000 overall purse, paying $2,500 to win Thursday and Friday night, and then a massive $10,000 payday on Saturday \u2013 the largest purse in USCS history.<\/p>\n

Last year, the event also saw the likes of 2023 Daytona 500 champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Anthony Macri and Ryan Timms participate in the event.<\/p>\n

Local division, 3\/4 Modifieds are set to race alongside the high-flying 360 Sprint Car series as well.<\/p>\n

Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals (Feb. 5-17)<\/b>
\nFlorida Speedweeks returns in 2024 with the running of the 53rd Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, Feb. 5-17, 2024. The 12-day event will feature hundreds of drivers from the premier divisions in racing with them all vying for a Big Gator championship.<\/p>\n

The first week (Feb. 5-10) will see racing action all week with the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds and four days of Feature action for The Greatest Show on Dirt<\/i> with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars. The World of Outlaws will practice on Tuesday, Feb. 6, and then run Features from Wednesday, Feb. 7, to Saturday, Feb. 10.<\/p>\n

Then, the DIRTcar Late Models and USAC Non-Wing Sprint Cars will kick off the second week (Feb. 12-17) before turning it over to the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Models and Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds.<\/p>\n

World of Outlaws Bike Week Jamboree (March 3-4)<\/b>
\nTwo wheels and four wheels collide once again in March, with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars returning to Volusia Speedway Park in March for the World of Outlaws Bike Week Jamboree (Sunday-Monday, March 3-4). Adding another exciting element to Bike Week, the World of Outlaws welcomes all bikers to The World\u2019s Fastest Half Mile<\/i> for two nights of high-octane, wheel-to-wheel, action. Earlier this year, Carson Macedo and David Gravel won the inaugural World of Outlaws Bike Week Features, with Timmy Hogan sweeping the weekend in the 3\/4 Modifieds.<\/p>\n

Opening Night Special (March 22, 23)
\n<\/strong>The traditional Opening Night at Volusia Speedway Park in 2024 begins on the third week of March, with an open division practice on Friday, March 22. The season kicks off with the 604 Late Models, 602 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, 3\/4 Modifieds, and Thunder Stocks. There will also be the Florida Short Track Reunion, where racing legends share their stories on this epick kickoff weekend.<\/p>\n

Month of Money (April 13, April 20, April 27)
\n<\/b>The Month of Money returns in April, with three races boasting big money chances for all of Volusia Speedway Park\u2019s weekly divisions throughout\u00a0the month. The 604 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, and 602 Late Models will battle in $2,000-to-win Features throughout the month. The Thunder Stocks, Gladiators, and Crown Vics will also compete for larger purses in those events.<\/p>\n

Summer Sizzler (July 27)
\n<\/b>The heat kicks up a notch with the Summer Sizzler in July, headlined by the Top Gun Sprint Car Series. Joining the Sprint Cars will be the 604 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, and the Thunder Stocks. Last season, Dustin Burtron scored his first win at Volusia with the Top Gun Sprints.<\/p>\n

Labor Day Classic (Aug. 30-31)
\n<\/b>An annual tradition, the Labor Day Classic, returns in 2024 with two days of action that includes the 604 Late Models, 602 Late Models, DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, 3\/4 Modifieds, and the Thunder Stocks.<\/p>\n

This event is a beloved fan-favorite, with boosted purses for all divisions and important championship points on the line for all drivers<\/p>\n

11th Emil & Dale Reutimann Memorial (Nov. 21-23)
\n<\/b>The Emil & Dale Reutimann Memorial returns to Volusia Speedway Park for its 11th running in 2024 for another marquee Modified event honoring one of racing\u2019s most beloved families. The best DIRTcar UMP Modified drivers in the country will return to compete in the 50-lap, $10,000-to-win, main event.<\/p>\n

The silver anniversary race in November saw Nick Hoffman take home his second Crystal Tractor trophy after dominating a grueling Feature race.<\/p>\n

PLAN AHEAD FOR 2025:
\n<\/b>While all eyes will be on 2024, dates are already in place for a few of Volusia\u2019s biggest events in 2025 \u2013 set to run back to back to back.<\/p>\n

The DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals will run Jan. 22-25, 2025<\/b>. It will be followed by the third annual Germfree Southern Sprint Car Shootout, Jan. 30-Feb. 1, 2025<\/b> \u2013 which continues to grow into one of the biggest 360 Sprint Car races of the year. Then, the premier divisions in dirt racing return to Volusia for the 54th Annual Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals, Feb. 4-15, 2025<\/b>.<\/p>\n
